Fighting styles
Drawing from 30+ years of martial arts and fighting experience, Colin Fong can craft fighting styles and action sequences that cross the spectrum from Kung–fu/exotic martial arts to street brawls, weapons, and creative environmental combat. With over 27 years of professional stunt and film experience, Colin knows exactly how to shape and adapt fighting sequences to the filmmaker’s vision, as well as the technical requirements of the movie (camera angles, effects, etc.). Because fighting is variable, Colin brings a different game plan to every movie, and fresh fighting style to each participating actor or stunt player resulting eye-popping fights and action.
Precision Driving
The job of a precision driver isn’t always as glamorous as a huge action movie or even an eye-popping commercial. Sometimes minor maneuvers require the services of a precision driver. The AD determines if the actor can pull it off safely or if the services of a precision driver or team of drivers is needed. Once the AD decides what the job needs, he’ll go back to the production team with the requirements, and the production manager and coordinator will call precision driving teams. Depending on whether or not the camera will need tighter close-up shots, the team will send a driver that loosely fits the description of the actor or actress.
Weapons Handling
Whether you looking for a coordinator, player, or trainer for your weapons action,,, Colin can bring his experience and skills to your production. Colin has been a “use of force” instructor for over 20 years and has wide ranging tactical experience as an instructor. Over that time he has concentrated his efforts in combining lethal with non lethal force options to provide law enforcement officers with the tools that they need in their service to the community. Colin is widely accepted within the law enforcement community because of his training, devotion and hardcore mindset.
Water Work
Colin can perform stunts on and under the water. Living in the Hawaiian Islands chain, Colin has become extremely comfortable on the water and has gathered extensive experience of the use of a variety of waterborne craft from canoes to high speed power boats. As well as extensive underwater diving experience.. Colin has a huge amount of collective experience with all types of boats, water, and underwater stunt sequences, with extensive major feature and television credits. Trade Craft
Hollywood stuntmen have always called the dangerous stuff they do “gags.” A kick is a gag. A truck souring across an open drawbridge is a gag. An aerial dogfight requiring elaborate flight plans and F.A.A. oversight is a gag; and so is a visually stunning explosion that blasts the actor a 100 yard off a boat into the harbor. Rather than specializing in one area, Colin has worked in the industry over 25 years and has developed a wide range of Skills & Coordination experience. Stage combat, high-performance driving, advanced weapons handling, experienced in tumbling, horseback riding, skiing, windsurfing, scuba diving and martial arts have all served Colin well over the years.
Sports & Activities
Colin is no stranger to most fields of competition or play. With a general interest in most sports and physical activities, he can help deliver the scene your looking for whether it’s stunts and safety, doubling in as player, or coordinating an action sequence. If your production calls for general sports action, Colin can help you deliver on budget. Colin is also experienced in sports massage therapy to help alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. When minor injuries and lesions occur, due to overexertion and/or overuse, Colin can break them down quickly and effectively.
Music
Colin connects with the guests at events not only through his music, but also with his upbeat and youthful personality. He is engaging, funny, charming and looks sharp! You can count on Colin to know how and what to play for the room in the moment; just right for the enjoyment of all who are present.
